I am thrilled to announce to everyone that Ramen Noodle Week, an original song that I wrote, is coming to fruition, and is on track to be released in the spring of 2022. This project would not be possible without the help of fellow musicians, who happen to be my friends.
Everyone has been asking me about the personnel on this track. The instrumentalists are all top of their game, with no introductions needed. Playing drums is Charlie Morgan, former drummer of over 18 years for Elton John. Playing guitars is Guy Walker, and keyboards and organ is Dennis Gallo - whom both these brilliant musicians were the recording and touring musicians for the Backstreet Boys from their start in 1997 until the late 2000s.
... Yes, you are listening to them when you are listening to the Millenium album ...
Nathan East, the longtime bassist for Toto, Eric Clapton, and about a million others, is playing bass. I am beyond thankful for us networking with each other a few years back and for our work together since. Finally, I am providing percussion for this track, also considering that I am trying to push the bounds of blues music to include more percussion ... because there is no such thing as "less cowbell" or for that matter - cowbell in general in blues music.
Regarding the vocals, providing them is Julia Wolfe, who is actually a Fairfield, Connecticut native, and backing vocals is going to be provided by Shirley Lewis, former longtime backing vocalist of over 33 years for George Michael. I am particularly excited about having Shirley do this because there is no greater harmonic counterpart and soulful tone than what she has provided on major albums over the course of her career. She will bring a different dimension about what one can do with backing vocals.
Last but not least, the engineer for this track is none other than Christopher Marchesseault, who owns and operates his recording studio in Connecticut and is heavily involved in the new music scene. I know many people whose career trajectories have not allowed them to keep up with the newest trends in music. Chris is a lucky person to provide that aspect to us.
I have found some links about the instrumentalists for your reading pleasure, so you know who you are listening to. I am very excited for this project to be finished!
